Fellowes, Inc., headquartered in Itasca, Illinois (United States ) manufactures office equipment such as paper shredders, laminators and equipment for binding and cutting, as well as document storage systems.

History

The company was founded in 1917 by Harry Fellowes Bankers Box Company as. In addition to four locations in the U.S., the company now operates offices worldwide in 14 countries, starting in 1972 with the first office in the UK with more than 2700 employees. A German subsidiary is located in Garbsen ( Lower Saxony).

The management of the company is subject to since 1983 James Fellowes, the grandson of the founder, Harry Fellowes. The original name of Bankers Box Company, named after the first document storage product, the Bankers Box ®, has been changed in the same year in Fellowes Manufacturing to be the now broader product offering of the company.
