Fellsilent

Fell Silent (also Fell Silent, Silent fur and FELL SILENT written ) was a progressive metal band from Milton Keynes, United Kingdom. The band played an important role within the British progressive metal scene. From her out among other bands TesseracT and Monuments emerged.

History

In 2003, Neema Askari, John Browne, Alec Kahney, Max Robinson and Christopher Mansbridge founded the band Fell Silent. Two years later, the band signed their first recording contract in which, also founded in 2005 label Basick Records and thus introduced the first band under the umbrella of the label dar. This was followed by recording their first EP The Double ' A', which was released in December of the same year. Since the songs of the EP contained partly superimposed vocal sequences which were live not feasible, the band started to look for a second singer and was in Joe Garrett finally found it. In addition, Joe Garrett played guitar and was thus able to help out as a third guitarist for live performances.

In August 2008, the band released their debut album, The Hidden Words, on which followed a joint tour with Enter Shikari. After the band a copy of her first album at Ash Avildsen, founder of the label Sumerian Records, sent and was able to convince those of a publication in North America, the album in early March of the next year was announced. As a foretaste of the upcoming release, the band should occur as part of the Crush Em 'All tour next After the Burial, Veil of Maya and ABACABB. However, the band for financial reasons, said the planned U.S. tour on short notice. The Hidden Words was still, as planned, published on 3 March in the U.S. and Canada.

Shortly after the release of the album in North America, the band announced the exit of guitarist Alec Kahney, which is now totally wanted to dedicate his project TesseracT, which gained increasing popularity. About the Social Network MySpace, the band tried to cast a new guitarist, but the search was unsuccessful. Despite all this, the band continued to work on her second studio album. A year later, in April 2010, the band played on MySpace their final resolution known. While Alec continued to play with TesseracT, Neema Askari and John Browne worked intensively on their band monument, which they had previously founded one year. Singer Joe Garrett and Christopher Mansbridge built on the alternative rock band Sonick Movement.
