Fences (band)

Fences (real name: Christopher Mansfield ) is an American songwriter and guitarist.

Biography

Christopher Mansfield is a graduate of Berklee College of Music. During his time at college first demo recordings for Fences emerged. His manager then turned with him the demo The Ultimate Puke EP demo. A short time later, this was released on a small indie label, for which Mansfield's friend designed the cover. The EP was sold through Mansfield's MySpace page. Even before the release of the Manager of Tegan & Sara was aware of the band. Mansfield was invited to Canada to record an album. Here the debut album Fences, which was released on the indie label Onto Entertainment was born.

2011 started Christopher Mansfield, to write music for a new album The Internal Diving Board and take. In the summer of 2013, the change from Fences to Elektra Records was known. For 2013, the release of their second studio album has been announced, produced by Jacquire King and included the participation of his live accompanist Ben Greenspan and Lindsey Starr, drummer Jason McGerr of Death Cab for Cutie and rapper Macklemore.
