Feramors is a lyric opera in three acts by the composer Anton Grigoryevich Rubinstein; wrote the libretto to Julius Rodenberg based on Thomas Moore's story " Lalla Rookh ." This opera was born 1861/1862 and was first performed on February 24, 1863 at the Royal Court Opera in Dresden.

1872 in Vienna was an edited version of this work in two acts to the stage.

Action

In the palace to the King of Bokhara Hindostan is expected. He is expected to arrive shortly in order to marry the Princess Lalla Rookh. The Grand Vizier Fadladin organized the preparations for this feast is reported as Khoosroo, the Messenger of the groom.

The bride receives together with her friend Hafisa the Messenger, which announces the imminent arrival of his king. Lalla Rookh is very sad, because they already secretly loves the singer Feramors, they however should not marry.
