Ferchensee

The Ferchensee is a small mountain lake in the municipality of Mittenwald, Upper Bavaria, about three kilometers west of the town center.

The lake is located at 1,060 meters above sea level, south of the High Kranzberg. Approximately 1,500 feet east lies the Lautersee, from where you continue to come on the Laintal to Mittenwald. About three kilometers north- west of the lake lies the Schloss Elmau. The Ferchensee is fed by small mountain streams, of which only the drummer trench is named in the southwest. To the north- northwest toward the creek flows from Ferch. He reached in summer temperatures of over 20 degrees. The water is very clean. On the shore there is a guest house in the summer and a kiosk with boat rentals.
