Ferdinand field Hofer ( born October 23, 1979 in Vorau ) is a retired Austrian football player at the position of central defender.

Career

His first club was the TuS Vorau. After playing in the Styrian League under Michael Petrović TSV Pöllau, he moved to his first major club, the SK Sturm Graz. Initially it was used only in the amateurs, but the then coach Ivica Osim recognized his talent as a strong -tackling defender and appointed him to the first team.
