Ferdinand Schladen

Ferdinand Schladen ( born May 24, 1939 in Bonn ) is a former German shot putter.

He was eighth at the European Indoor Championships in 1973 and 1974. He was German champion in the hall, but never German champion outdoors. Three times he reached the second place. Schladen Ferdinand scored his personal best in the shot put of 20.40 m in Aachen on 8 August 1972 for an official pre-Olympic struggle comparison with Asian athletes. This time was a new record for the Federal Republic of Germany. By linking internal squabbles Ferdinand Schladen but did not participate in the same year in Munich held Olympic Games despite protests. In the eternal German leaderboard, he is currently on the 25th place.

Ferdinand Schladen began in 1959 because of back problems at 2.03 m size on medical advice with sports. 1961 at age 22, he scored just one Nordrhein Westfalen record with 51.77 meters in the discus. In the discus throw, he was nominated in the 1960s for a number of countries fighting and the Olympic excretion in Rome in 1964. His longest jump in the discus throw was 56.40 m. He started at the KTV Bonn and was reported to last at LC Bonn. He enjoyed most success in Shot Put. In 1982 with 42 years, he ended his career with Newton's third place at the German Championships.
