Ferenc Hammang

Ferenc Hammang [ fɛrɛnʦ hɒm ɒŋɡ ː ] ( born May 20, 1944 in Budapest ) is a former Hungarian fencer and current coach.

In the World Fencing Championships in 1973 and at the World Fencing Championship in 1978, he was with the team of the Hungarian saber world champion, in 1977, he was involved in winning the bronze medal in 1975 when winning the silver medal he was substitute.

1980 at the Olympic Games in Moscow Hammang won the bronze medal in saber fencing together with György Nébald, Rudolf Nébald, Imre Pál Gedővári and Gerevich.

Since 2000 he is coach of the FRP ( Fencing Club Villach). Previously he worked as a coach in Italy.
