Ferenc Szabó

Ferenc Szabó [ fɛrɛnts sɒbo ː ] (* December 27, 1902 in Budapest, † November 4, 1969 ibid ) was a Hungarian composer.

Life

Szabó was at the Budapest Music Academy students from Leó Weiner and Zoltán Kodály. He was a teacher there from 1945 and from 1957 to 1967 director of this institute.

He composed two orchestral suites and a suite for chamber orchestra, an orchestral rhapsody, chamber works, sonatas, cantatas and songs and film music. His main work is considered the oratory is storming rose the tide for tenor, chorus and orchestra from 1955 to texts by Sándor Petőfi.
