Fergus Slattery

John Fergus Slattery ( born February 12, 1949 in Dún Laoghaire ) is a former Irish rugby union player who played in the position of winger. He was active for the Irish national team and the British and Irish Lions.

Slattery made ​​his debut for Ireland in the draw against South Africa at Lansdowne Road in 1970. He played for Blackrock College and the University Club of Dublin.

Slattery was first included in 1971 for a tour of the Lions, however, came in the only previous successful series against New Zealand to no use. In the pre-season games he was used frequently.
