Fernando Alvarado Tezozómoc

Don Hernando de Alvarado Tezozomoc was the son of Don Diego de Alvarado and Doña Francisca de Huanitzin Montezuma, a daughter of Moctezuma II Moctezuma II He was thus grandson and great-grandson of Axayacatl maternal and paternal, as his father and his mother 's cousin and cousin were. He became one of the most important chroniclers of New Spain, as his main works are the Crónica Mexicana in the Spanish language as well as the Crónica Mexicayotl in Aztec language:

About Tezozomoc itself, little is known, neither his birth nor his year of birth can be defined. He must have died after 1609. Several of his numerous siblings ( he is referred to as the fourth or seventh child of Huanitzin ) were important people in the early colonial Mexican society, so his older brother Don Cristóbal de Guzmán Cecetzin was a few years Indian Gobernador of Tenochtitlan.
