Fernando Baiano

Fernando Baiano ( born March 18, 1979 in São Paulo, João Fernando Nelo actually ) is a Brazilian footballer.

Career

The 1.84 m tall center forward started his career at Corinthians in São Paulo. Then he played until 2002 for Internacional de Porto Alegre and in 2003 was active for Flamengo Rio de Janeiro.

He then moved to VfL Wolfsburg, where he remained until 2004. There, he scored 11 goals in 22 games, including two in his first game against Bayern Munich. He saw in the Bundesliga by his extravagant goal celebration sensation after a black Jesus bandana out of his pants pulled, to draw it on his head. For the summer break, he flew into the home where he underwent without the knowledge of the association, a bilateral knee surgery. Then, his contract was not renewed.

After half a season in Brazil in AD São Caetano, he moved to Spain in February 2005 to FC Málaga, where he scored nine goals in 17 games. Only half a year later Baiano went to Celta Vigo, where he scored 15 goals in the 2006/07 season in 34 games. In the 2007 /08 season he played at Real Murcia, who had signed him for around five million euros. Baiano, making it the most expensive transfer in the club's history of Murcia.

At the end of his first season, however, was clear of relegation for Murcia, so Baiano moved free transfer to Al- Jazira Club. After a year Baiano moved within the Premier Division to al - Wahda.
