Ferruccio Cerio

Ferruccio Cerio (actually Francesco Cerio, born September 26, 1901 in Savona, † April 29, 1963 in Rome ) was an Italian film director and screenwriter.

Life

Cerio graduated in Medicine and Surgery from, but took not the intended for it from his family profession, but devoted himself to the theater dramaturgy, radio and film events. So in collaboration with Alessandro Di Stefani some dramas (including Consiglio di guerra ) and comedies (eg Sinfonia di Frate ognuno or mare ), which were broadcast on the radio. For the canvas he worked since 1935 in some scenarios of interest minderem with 1941 and debuted as a director with Il cavaliere senza nome. In 1944, he joined the theater of the Republic of Salò, for which he produced two films.

His work after the Second World War was characterized by pure routine. The 1947 turned El alarido ( after his radio drama L' urlo ) was born in Spain, since he could first get no work in Italy. Since 1955 he has also worked for the recently created television.
