Looking west over the Koenigssee ( deep down ) on the watzmann solid

The Feuerpalven (also written Feuerpalfen ) is a 1741 m high viewing platform, more than 1100 meters above Koenigssee in the Berchtesgaden Alps. It is located within walking distance of the farmed Gotzenalm. Accessible either from the dock Salet am Koenigssee over the Kaunersteig ( If security is required ) and the Regenalm or from the pier on the boiler Gotzentalalm. From the railing opens an imposing view of the watzmann - east wall (see image in the box) and down to St. Bartholomew on the opposite side of King Lake (see below).

The height difference is as high as 1138 m.

Feuerpalven and Gotzenalm are also popular tour destinations for mountain bikers.
