Fidel Uriarte

Fidel Uriarte (* March 1, 1945 in Sestao ) is a former Spanish footballer.

Career

Association

Uriarte played in his youth for Athletic Bilbao. His professional debut at the rojiblancos took place on 23 September 1962. During the following twelve years, the Spaniards became an integral part of the club. 1969 and 1973 he won the Bilbao Copa del Rey. In the 1967/68 season he also secured with 22 hits the title of the scorer. Overall denied Uriarte for the club from the Basque country 394 Official matches.

After he was active for three years for CD Málaga, decided Uriarte 1977, to hang his boots on the nail.

National

Uriarte denied nine caps for the Spanish national team. His only international goal he scored against Italy.
