Fieseler Fi 157

The Fieseler Fi 157 was an unmanned experimental aircraft, which had an automatic control. The development of this machine began in the aircraft Fieseler Kassel in June 1936.

With a carrier aircraft they brought the machine to height. After release and subsequent flight of the Fi 157 was performed with the drive of its own, a Hirth HM 60 with 60 hp. The aircraft was controlled by a body having program -reel automatic. Since this experimental aircraft was no loss device, but had neither suspension nor skids, landing was probably by parachute.

This aircraft was not intended for mass production, but it should only be used for the implementation of principle experiments.

Parallel to the project of the Fi 157 was started in August 1936 with the development of the experimental aircraft Fi 158, which had a strong resemblance to the Fi 157 of the shaping ago.
