FinePix#FinePix

Fujifilm FinePix since 1998, the brand name for digital cameras Fujifilm from the manufacturer. The term is used for both digital compact and bridge cameras as well as for system cameras from Fujifilm.

Many previous cameras in the FinePix series used a Super CCD sensor developed by Fujifilm. These enable control of light sensitivity up to ISO 3200. Past few years, the manufacturer is however increasingly CMOS sensors. As before, Fujifilm relies on self-developed color filter arrays that differ from the standard Bayer filter.

A fundamental distinction Fujifilm six different model series:

  • A- series and J- series: entry-level models with simplified operation.
  • Z series: particularly compact cameras.
  • F-Series: Compact cameras for more demanding tasks.
  • S-Series: super zoom models with up to 50-fold (FinePix SL1000 ) zoom lenses.
  • X Series: Sophisticated system cameras with a retro design, some with fixed focal length lenses.

A well-known prosumer model was the S100FS, even with the Super CCD sensor. The current model of the bridge camera class of Fujifilm FinePix HS50EXR is the ( of Feb. 2013). The previously marketed also under the S- label "Pro" series of digital SLR cameras, which was based on cases from other manufacturers, was set now.

The manufacturer led to the Finepix F200EXR one the EXR sensor, which describes a new approach to high -resolution images. The built-in image sensor with 12 million pixels is called Super CCD EXR. As innovative feature the camera has to record mode " Dynamic Range ". According to the manufacturer, this method enables the simultaneous recording of two differently exposed images, which are then joined together ( from the camera) to an image with extended dynamic range ( HDR image). The currently installed CMOS sensors carry the designation " EXR ".

2009 brought Fujifilm Finepix REAL 3D W1 with the first 3D digital camera on the market. It has an autostereoscopic display, on which the recorded images can be viewed in 3D.
