Fintan mac Bóchra

Fintan mac Bochra [' f ʴ intan mak' bo ː xra ] is the name of a legendary figure from the Lebor Gabála Érenn ( "Book of the Conquest of Ireland " ) in Celtic mythology of Ireland.

Mythology

Fintan is the husband of Noah's granddaughter Cessair and thus Biths son have been reaching with her 40 days before the Flood Ireland. Cessair and 50 other women, and Fintan, Bith and the helmsman Ladra On board the ship as the only men. Each of these three takes in Ireland 17 women as wives. Fintan is the only survivor of the flood and transformed successively into a salmon, an eagle and a hawk. Fintan occurs 40 days Tuan short time after the flood ( with Partholon ) on the island, but their experiences are strikingly similar. The literary context is currently not yet developed.
