Firjan

The FIRJAN (Arabic: فرجان ) are an Arab tribe in Libya.

Their main settlement area is located west of Ajdabiya, members of the tribe live in many coastal cities of Libya, as in Sirte, Zliten and Tripoli. The Libyan Civil War played the loyalty to tribes a role in the front line, so put the Libyan National Liberation Army when taking Sirte on the support of living there FIRJAN who were against Gaddafi's tribe, the Guededfa disadvantage. Living in Benghazi and Ajdabiya FIRJAN to have majority support the rebels. A 15 years living in exile in America commander of the Liberation Army, Khalifa Belqasim Haftar, is a member of the tribe.
