Course

The river card LUBW leaves the Fischbach on the northwest tip of the birch forest, about a mile west of Seckacher Waidachhofs begin. This view should not be without controversy, as to the Waidachshof around a whole bunch of runs of temporary water-bearing trenches and none of them is a full-fledged stream. In the courtyard Schmachtelberg (city Adelsheim ) combine the last two of this bundle at this Stelle49.4058416666679.3514138888889 immediately north of the federal highway 292 which cuts through the catchment area in east-west direction, then the reference name is unique. Here begins the Fischbachtal morphologically, the way eintieft to the southeast to Seckachtal more and more, while initially the large forest area Weidach flows on its eastern edge. The water from this donation makes the Fischbach to a permanent water-bearing, handsome, clear and clean forest stream. While at first forest stands in the creek blade, line on the lower half of the narrow meadow Nauen the meadows Hebstetter the stream. Finally, the valley opens towards the Seckachtal, here is beside the running waters of the half- hectare! Fischbachsee, who with his small, over a wooden bridge from the north shore of the island accessible offers a picturesque scene. Below the last houses of Senn field, a district of Adelsheim, the Fischbach then opens at the Talmuhle in the Seckach.

The Fischbach, if only from the date of the B 292 runs, all in the Town of Adelsheim. The northwestern headwaters to him by attributing LUBW, follows long as the municipal boundary between the community Seckach in the Northeast and Schefflenz in the southwest, to the latter also includes the majority of Weidach, while most of the northern trenches inflows still on Seckacher area.

The scenic character

In terms of the landscape lends itself to the Fischbach to a threefold. The uppermost part of its catchment area to the entrance of the Fischbachs in the Weidach is mainly characterized by intensive agricultural use. The streambed and the flowing ditches are usually straightened and often coppice freely. In the middle section, where the fish creek flows through the Weidach and eintieft its valley, it is a pure forest stream. The forestry use is relatively intense. Large parts of its valley are planted with unstable coniferous stands, whose share is obviously declining. Accommodate without significant inflows of Fischbach has a much higher water levels in the lower portion thereof; may occur from the creek bed itself from water. A connection with the entry of the stream bed in the middle Muschelkalk, a groundwater bearing layer in this area is likely (see Sulzbach, Hergstbach ). About two kilometers before the Fischbachtal opens to Seckachtal out, leaving the Fischbach the forest, with the wood stock thins slow and initially only narrow meadows accompany the creek. Here, the lower portion of the valley, which has a very sweet and idyllic character and play a certain importance as a recreational area begins. The grassland on both sides of the grove -lined brook widens slightly, while the slopes of continued forest - have been passed - almost exclusively mixed deciduous forest. The creek itself has countless small natural dams and crashes formed by travertine, between which are often small islets.

Large parts of the valley have been designated as conservation area ( LSG " Fischbachtal "). The lower part of the valley outside the forest is part of the FFH area " Seckach and inflows ". Parts of the slope forest in the lower Fischbachtal are designated as forest reserve ( Schonwald ). Furthermore, in Fischbachtal several legally protected biotopes mapped (so-called § 32- biotopes according to § 32 provincial nature conservation law ).
