The company is an affiliated company of Vesta GmbH ( also based in Idar -Oberstein ) and present with its own subsidiaries or distributors in over 70 countries around the world. With 538 employees in Germany and 765 worldwide net Fissler 2012, revenue in the amount of 206 million euros. Also as an affiliated company of Vesta operates in the direct sales of active Cookware AMC Alfa Metalcraft Corporation trading company based in Bingen am Rhein.

The shares in Fissler are family- owned. Supervisory Board is Friederike Fissler Pechtl, which is also managing director of Vesta in Idar -Oberstein and Board President of the Switzerland-based AMC International Alfa Metalcraft Corporation simultaneously. She took over the two offices of her father Harald Fissler, the former CEO and Chairman of the Fissler Group and great-grandson of the company founder.

History

In 1845, the company was founded in Idar -Oberstein as installations by Carl Philipp Fissler. 1892, the company wrote to the invention, a mobile field kitchen, the " field kitchen ", German cultural history so-called. During the First World War, the Gulaschkanone served at the front of the preparation of one-pot dishes.

Already used in 1900 Fissler aluminum as raw material in the production of home and kitchen appliances. The production of special harnesses for commercial kitchen electric stoves began 1928. German passenger ships such as the Europe and the Bremen in 1930 with a new special industrial kitchen utensils. The kitchens of the Olympic Village in Berlin received 1936 cookware manufacturer.

Under the name " vitavit " Fissler 1953 developed the first pressure cooker with patented, multi-stage cooking valve. As the first German manufacturer produces Fissler pans since 1956 with PTFE coating ( colloquially "Teflon pans " mentioned ). The plastic coating prevents caking of the meat and makes cleaning easier. A first pressure skillet followed in 1969.
