Five Card Stud

Five Card Stud, Stud Poker or shortly Poker Open, formerly Star Poker (false by Stud) called, is a poker variant. Five Card Stud is the classic, but today hardly played form of poker open. This variety has been almost entirely supplanted by Seven Card Stud, which is offered in the casinos.

Game History

Apply the same rules as in Seven Card Stud, but with the following differences:

  • After each player has paid his ante into the pot, each player receives one card face down ( hole card ) and one card face up ( the Seven Card Stud, two face down and one card); followed by the first round of betting.
  • The third, fourth and fifth of each player card is dealt face up, after each card there is a round of betting. A player who remains in the game until the very end, that receives a total of five cards.
  • If, after the last round of betting to a showdown, the hole cards are pitched, and the player with the best poker hand wins the pot.

Five Card Stud is played primarily with fixed limit.
