FK Baník Most

Banik Most is a Czech football club from the North Bohemian town of Most.

Club history

The club was founded on 19 May 1909 as SK must. The SK Most never make it past regional competitions. In 1962, managed as Banik Most promotion to the second league, 1965, the hitherto biggest success in club history with third place posted. In 1977, the case in the 4th league, the rise in the third- highest division succeeded in 1981.

In 1996, the local coal plants Mostecká took uhelná společnost ( MUS ) the club that rose in the 1996/97 season in the league and second there in 1997/98 took a sixth place. After another midfield placings achieved in 2004/05 sovereign promotion to the Gambrinus League. 2003, the Italian gas company SIAD had taken over the majority of the club and invested in the squad of players.

In the 2007 /08 season must dismounted as Table from the Gambrinus League and plays since then in the second highest Czech league. On 1 July 2008, the club changed its name to FK Banik Most.

Founded in 1909 as SK must. In 1948 the club ZSJ Uhlomost Most said. More name changes, there were 1953 in DSO Banik Most, 1961 in TJ Banik Most, 1979 in TJ Banik Most SHD, 1993 FK Banik Most SHD, 1995 FK MUS Most, 1996 FC MUS 1996 must as, FK SIAD Most in 2003 as and FK Banik Most, 2008.
