FK Sloboda Tuzla

The FK Sloboda Tuzla is a Bosnian - Herzegovinian football club that is currently active in the subprime Prva League of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

History

Sloboda Tuzla one of the oldest clubs in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The club FK Sloboda name means " football club freedom." Sloboda played to 1992 in the highest league of the former Yugoslavia. There were a third place in the 1976/77 season and the unofficial title of Autumn Cup 1989, the biggest successes.

Even after the independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the association remained far without title. In the 2008 /09 season he reached rank 3 its best-ever ranking in the Premijer league.

Internationally

Although FK Sloboda already exists as long club, the club had not been showered with great success. In the season 1977/78 the club took part in the UEFA Cup, but failed already in the 1st round at UD Las Palmas. Otherwise, the club qualified now and then for the Intertoto Cup, where they took part recently in 2004.

Athletic League 3rd place would be entitled to participate in the qualification for the Europa League 2009/10, 2009, but the club did not receive a UEFA license.
