The stadium Viktoria is a football stadium in the Czech capital Prague. The football club FK Viktoria Zizkov wears traditionally on Sundays at 10:15 clock its home games. The stadium is located in a residential area in the densely populated district of Zizkov. It is a few hundred meters away from Prague's main train station and below the Zizkov Television Tower.

History

The stadium was built in 1952 on the site of the square of the company team SS Plincner. The original capacity was about 15,000 spectators. In 1966 the stadium was given instead of an ash - a new lawn. Two years later on the north side of the stadium a covered grandstand seating for 2,000 spectators. Floodlights got the stadium in 1973.

After the Velvet Revolution, there were long dispute of who owns the land under the stadium. Finally, the owner, the city of Prague leased the ground for 80 years at the club. Subsequently, the club was able to start long targeted reconstruction of the stadium. In 2002, the club replaced the standing room on the west and south stand with red and white seat shells made ​​of plastic. The capacity of 8,000 dropped to 5,700 spectators. In addition, the playing field has been expanded to 105 x 68 meters, to meet the requirements of the Association at a stadium in the highest league.

A year later modernized Victoria then the main stand and let install a new floodlights. The capacity decreased by these measures again, the stadium took at this time only 4,600 spectators.

In the summer of 2007 finally emerged on the far east side free a new grandstand with 1,000 seats. On the west and south stand the club exchanged the old seats. In addition, next to the main stand was a new clubhouse with Fanshop and other club rooms.

In the 2008 /09 Gambrinus League season FK Bohemians Prague bears (formerly FC Střížkov Praha 9) its home matches at Victoria Stadium, because of the hitherto unused space in Horni Počernice district does not meet the requirements of the Czech Football Association.
