Flag of the Karachay-Cherkess Republic

The flag Karachai - Circassia is the official flag of the Republic of Karachay -Cherkessia within Russia. The flag was officially established by law by the Law on February 3, 1994.

Properties

The flag has a 1:2 ratio and consists of three horizontal stripes and a national symbol. The stripes are blue, green, red and white symbol. The symbol shows the sun rising behind a snow-capped mountain peaks, symbolizing the landscape of the Republic.

Meaning of colors

• Blue: symbolizes peace, tranquility and friendly motives.
• Green: represents nature, fertility and abundance
• Red: represents the warmth and unity of the population.
