Flamen Martialis

The Flamen Martialis was in the Roman religion of the State priests of the god Mars and one of the three flamens maiores.

Little is known about the design of the Mars - priestly office, but it was probably similar in their ritual regulations to those of the Flemish Dialis.

At obligations of the Flemish Martialis is narrated that he maiores together with the other two flamens on the feast of Fides publica populi Romani undertook rituals and sacrificed annually on 15 October during the Equus October, the winning horse in honor of Mars.
