Flappach

The Flappach ( partly Flattbach or local stream called ) is a tributary of the Schussen which opens at Eriskirch in Lake Constance. Thus, the Flappach is indirectly a right or northern tributary of the Rhine in the southern Upper Swabia in Baden- Württemberg ( Germany ).

Course

The Flappach springs from the Flappachquellen near Kemmer long. Shortly after it passes through the Flappachweiher and from there by Itten Beuren at Knoll digging through the past Flappachtal in the mill suburb of Ravensburg. Flappachweiher

Mills

Today the Mönchmühle Ravensburg is the last intact mill on Flappach. The Mönchmühle Ravensburg belongs to the Mill Street Upper Swabia.

Water Association Ravensburg

On September 29, 1843 founded 20 engine owner on Flappach the waterworks company Ravensburg to create a reservoir. The reservoir should not be used for bathing or fishing purposes, but for uniform water supply of the engines.
