Fleur Mellor

Fleur Mellor Northey (married Wenham, born July 13, 1936 in Sydney ) is a former Australian track and field athlete and Olympic champion.

Mellor won at the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, together with Shirley Strickland de la Hunty, Norma Croker and Betty Cuthbert the gold medal in the 4 x 100 - meter relay. The Australians are presented in the qualifying round with 44.9 seconds a world record and improved him in the final 44.5 seconds.

A few days after the Olympic final Mellor was involved in two other relay world records: about 4-by- 110- yards ( 45.6 seconds ) and 4-by- 220 -yard ( 1:36,3 minutes).
