Flexor carpi radialis muscle

The flexor carpi radialis (Latin for " spoke- sided Flexor " or " radial Flexor ") is a skeletal muscle and is one of the flexors of the superficial layer of the forearm. Side spokes (radial) of the tendon can feel the pulse of the radial artery ( " Radialispulsgrube "). It runs by its own channel outside the tendon sheaths of the carpal tunnel.

Function

The flexor carpi radialis flexes the hand at the wrist, and is also responsible for the spoke- side abduction, that is, the seitwärtige bending of the hand toward the thumb, responsible.
