Floridita

El Floridita is a bar in the center of Havana in Cuba. It was opened in 1817 under the name La Piña de Plata and is among the most famous in the world.

History

A bar El Floridita Daiquiri of a cocktail of rum, sugar and lime juice to have been invented. Founded under the name " La Piña de Plata " ( The Silver Pineapple ), later El Florida, was the bar as one of the best bars in the world. Last elected in 1953 in Esquire as one of the seven best bars in the world, bar for Americans lost by the Cuban Revolution in importance. In 1992, the Bar won the Five Star Diamond as best of the best. The bar is characterized by the fact that everything is designed in such a way as was common during the golden era of Havana.
