Foix reservoir

The Riu de Foix is a small river in the province of Barcelona in Catalonia (Spain). It rises in La Llancuna in the comarca of Anoia in 800 m height. The Foix finally flows through the comarca Garraf from north to south and empties into the Mediterranean Sea west of Cubelles. During the summer months he leads hardly any water or is completely dried, but may also have very quickly after heavy rains, the other in the winter months.

In the comarca of Alt Penedès of Foix fed since 1928 a reservoir, which is responsible for drinking water supply to the densely populated coastal plain of great importance.
