Folgore-class destroyer

The Folgore class destroyer was a class of the Italian Navy. The class consisted of four destroyers, which were built in the 1930s on the shipyards of CNQ Fiume and OC Partenopei in Naples. The vessels were a modification of Dardo class in which an attempt was made to achieve higher speeds by decreasing the width. As a result, they suffered from stability problems and reduced range.

All four ships were part of the 8th Destroyer Squadron and were lost during their missions in World War II.
