Folke Jansson

Folke Jansson ( Folke Georg " Pytta " Jansson, born April 23, 1897 in Jonkoping, † July 18, 1965 in Gothenburg ) was a Swedish triple jumper.

At the 1920 Summer Olympics in Antwerp, he won with 14.48 m silver medal behind the Finns Vilho Tuulos ( 14,505 m) and ahead of his compatriot Erik Almlöf ( 14.27 m). Four years later he finished fifth at the Olympic Games in Paris.

Seven times he became Swedish champion (1917, 1919-1924 ) and British champion once ( 1921). On June 29, 1918, he presented in Oslo with 14,92 m a national record, which he improved on 28 August 1920 in Paris at 15.09 m.
