Folke the Fat

Folke the thickness ( Folke the tjocke ) was a Swedish nobleman of the 12th century.

Folke the thickness is described by Saxo Grammaticus in the Gesta Danorum as Sueticae gentis nobilissimus ( Polite Most of the Swedish people ) in the early 12th century and " was in possession of large goods or solid locks in the Göthalanden ". He was married to Ingegärd Knut yolk of Denmark, a daughter of the Danish King Knut IV the Holy. The marriage had two sons by Saxo, Bengt Snivil and Knut Folkesson; grandson called Saxo Birger Brosa, whose father after Olaus Petri Bengt Snivil was. According to another source were his sons Bengt Snivil and Magnus Minneskjöld.
