Follia d'amore

Follia d' amore is a song by Italian jazz musician Raphael Gualazzi. Under the English title Madness of Love, he took part in the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011.

History

Follia d' amore was written by Raphael Gualazzi and Ferdinando Arnò as stride piano song. It contains elements of swing, rhythm and blues and soul. On 18 February 2011 Raphael Gualazzi won the San Remo Festival with the title. Shortly afterwards he was set as a participant for Italy at the Euro Vision Song Contest 2011 in Dusseldorf. In the final on 14 May 2011, he finished with the Anglo- Italian version Madness of Love second place with 189 points behind the winning entry from Azerbaijan.
