Footsteps in the Light is the first compilation album of the singer and songwriter Yusuf Islam, formerly known as Cat Stevens.

History

The first compilation album of Yusuf Islam, published in April 2006, only includes songs sung with choir and percussion accompaniment and is not comparable with releases under the artist name Yusuf in the musical orientation.

The individual titles, received loud CD accompanying text book between 1981 and 2006, to designate in a broader sense than commercially and some have a religious background; some pieces were recorded in Arabic. Connections to his 1978 ended career as Cat Stevens are the reinterpretations of The Wind, Wild World ( Bana, Bana ) and Peace Train.
