The Ford 300 is the season finale of the NASCAR Nationwide Series. It always takes place at the Homestead-Miami Speedway in Homestead southwest of Miami, held in the U.S. state of Florida.

The race was first held in 1995, at that time with the name " Jiffy Lube Miami 300 ". That was the name the race until 1998. In 1999, Hot Wheels rose as a sponsor and the race was called the " HotWheels.com 300 ". In the following years, the name changed twice.

In 2002, Ford took over the sponsorship of all season final race of NASCAR.

All races are held over a weekend at Homestead -Miami Speedway since and thus belong to the Ford Championship Weekend. The numbers in the name of the race are in all cases for the distance to be traveled in miles.

Since 2007, ESPN2 will broadcast the race in the USA.
