Formula V

Fórmula V was a Spanish pop group from Madrid, initially consisting of Francisco Pastor ( vocals), Antonio Sevilla ( drums), Mariano Sanz ( bass), Amador Flores ( organ) and Joaquín de la Peña ( guitar).

History

The beginnings of Fórmula V dated to 1967, the year of the merger of the two bands Madrilenos " Los Rostros " and " Los Jibaros ". Their members had already met him on a few concerts in the city and gave the name " Los cambios ".

By 1968, however, would be unable to detect. This year, heard José Nieto ( a former member of " Los Pekenikes " ) play the group and brought them together with Maryni Callejo, the artistic director, who had triumphed already with Los Brincos and Los Relampagos. Callejo won the five promising young musicians to realize this project under the watchful gaze of the brand Philips, not without making any changes to the band's name in Fórmula V. Even their clothes contributed to their distinctiveness: white dinner jackets, black pants and beige or blue satin shirts that expressed both their fashion sense as well as their musical style very fitting.
