Forrest Lewis

Forrest Lewis ( born November 5, 1899 in Knightstown, Indiana, USA, † June 2, 1977 in Burbank, California ) was an American actor.

Career

Lewis began his career as an actor with small roles early and mid -1940s. From the 1950s he was seen regularly in supporting roles in several feature films and television series. With the director Douglas Sirk and Raoul Walsh, he turned some movies that belong mainly to the western genre. By the early 1960s, Lewis worked mostly for television, so he stepped in six episodes of the series The Andy Griffith Show and was a guest star in two episodes at 77 Sunset Strip. In the following decade he only appeared sporadically in appearance, his last appearance as an actor was in 1973 in the TV series Thicker Than Water.
