Forrest Mars, Sr.

Forrest Edward Mars senior (* March 21, 1904; † 1 July 1999) was an American businessman and the driving force of the Mars Incorporated. He became known by the introduction of the "Mars " chocolate bar and the "M & M's", as well as for the organization of the launch of the " Uncle Ben 's Rice ".

He was the son of Frank C. Mars, founder of the candy company Mars Incorporated and his first wife Ethel G. Mars. (née Kissack ).
