Fort Carlton was a trading post of the Hudson's Bay Company (HBC ) 1810-1885 and was on the territory of modern Canadian province of Saskatchewan, 65 km north of Saskatoon on the North Saskatchewan River.

The fort was at the Carlton Trail between Fort Garry in what is now Manitoba and Fort Edmonton in present-day Alberta. It was used by the fur traders of the HBC as a resting place on the way to the Canadian Rockies and it was pemmican and buffalo furs traded.

1885, during the Northwest Rebellion, Fort Carlton was abandoned as a result of the Battle of Duck Lake and burned down a little later.

Today, Fort Carlton is partially rebuilt and stands as a historical park in the province open to visitors.
