Francesca Bertolli

Francesca Bertolli (* around 1710 in Rome, † January 9, 1767 in Bologna) was an Italian opera singer ( alto). She is known primarily through her collaboration with Georg Friedrich Handel, for which she sang 1729-1733, and 1737-1740 in London in numerous operas and oratorios.

She moved in 1733 to rival Opera of the Nobility, but returned in 1737 back to Handel. Between 1740 and 1742 she sang in Turin, Vicenza, Venice and Genoa. After her marriage, she ended her stage career and settled in Bologna.
