Francesco Bracci

Cardinal Francesco Bracci ( born November 5, 1879 in Vignanello, Viterbo Province, Italy, † March 24, 1967 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Francesco Bracci studied in Rome, the subjects Catholic theology and philosophy. He received on 6 June 1903, the sacrament of Holy Orders and, after further studies in 1906 lecturer at the Department of Civita Castellana, Offizial the diocesan curia and Kathedralkanoniker. From 1914 to 1934 he worked as a lawyer for the Tribunal of the Roman Rota, and was then of December 29, 1934 to the December 30, 1935 Auditor of that authority. 1926 Pope Pius XI appointed him. In addition to the clerk of the Supreme Tribunal of the Apostolic Signature and 1935, Secretary of the Congregation for the order of the sacraments.

Pope John XXIII. took Francesco Bracci on 15 December 1958 as cardinal deacon with the title Diakonia San Cesareo in Palatio in the College of Cardinals to. 1962 appointed him John XXIII. Titular Archbishop of Idassa and gave him on 19 April 1962, the episcopal ordination. In the years 1962-1965 Francesco Bracci took part in the Second Vatican Council.

Francesco Bracci died on 24 March 1967 in Rome and was buried in the church of the college of Vignanello.
