Francesco Carbone Tomacelli

Francesco Carbone (* in Naples, † June 18, 1405 in Rome ) was a Cardinal of the Catholic Church.

Life

Yet occurred in his youth in the Cistercian Order, he also received the priesthood here. After he was elected in late 1382 as Bishop of Monopoli, Pope Urban VI created him. on December 17, 1384 cardinal priests and him on November 20, 1385 gave the titular church of Santa Susanna (Rome). After he had taken part in the 1389 Conclave, he was appointed this year to the Penitentiary and the Archpriest of the Lateran Basilica. Working as cardinal protector of the Franciscans, he was raised in December 1392 to Cardinal Bishop of Sabina. Even legacy of Foligno, he was in 1400 commendatory of Farfa and also took part in the conclave of 1404.
