Francesco II d'Este, Duke of Modena

Francesco II d' Este (* March 6, 1660; † September 6, 1694 ) was the son of the Duke Alfonso IV d'Este of Modena and Reggio. On July 6, 1662, he became his successor.

Francesco II married on July 14, 1692 Margherita Farnese (* November 24, 1664, June 17, 1718 ), the daughter of the Duke Ranuccio II Farnese of Parma. Since the marriage remained childless, inherited his uncle, the Cardinal Rinaldo d' Este (1655-1737), the duchies.
