Francis Kurkdjian

Francis Kurkdjian ( born May 14, 1969 in Paris ) is a French perfumer ‪ Armenian origin and is since 2001 as the first contemporary perfumer of custom-made fragrances offers.

Prior to his career as a perfumer Kurkdjian ‪ studied classical piano and ballet but decided to become ‪ perfumer in 1985. In 1993, he finished his education at the ISIPCA ( Institut supérieur international du parfum de la cosmétique et de l' aromatique alimentier ) at Versailles. In the same year joined the Kurkdjian perfume producers " Quest International". At 25, he created in 1995 the scent " Le Male " for Jean Paul Gaultier. Since then Kurkdjian has created more than 40 fragrances for well-known brands such as Escada, Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, Versace and Giorgio Armani.

Together with Marc Chaya he opened in 2009 in Paris under the name perfumed luxury products are made, the perfume house "Maison Francis Kurkdjian ." The price for a custom-made by Kurkdjian perfume starts from $ 12,000.
