Francisco Garza Gutiérrez

Francisco Garza Gutiérrez (* March 14, 1904, † unknown) was a Mexican footballer, who acted in defense. He was a younger brother of Rafael Garza Gutiérrez, who is regarded as the real founder of Club América. Both brothers played all his life exclusively for this club and the Mexican national team.

Biography

Francisco Garza Gutiérrez experienced with the first golden era of Club América, which was four times 1925-1928 as a result of the capital master league. It is likely that Francisco Garza was part of the squad all four championship teams, but not necessarily counted in those years for stem formation; at least his name in the history of the Masters teams appear only in the season 1926/27.

His only official international match dated 19 July 1930 and was in 1930 against Argentina ( 3:6 ) as part of the first World Cup held. In addition, he still played at least an unofficial international match during the inauguration of Parque Necaxa on September 14, 1930, when a Mexican national team defeated the host with 4:5.
