Francisco Zumel

Francisco Zumel (* 1540 in Palencia, † 1607 in Salamanca) was a priest and later Master of the Order of the Mercedadierordens ( breath ). Initially he worked as a schoolmaster. From 1580 he was appointed professor of moral theology at the University of Salamanca and was named after entering the Order Provincial of the Province of the Order of Castile. In 1593 the General Chapter elected him for the 32nd General Master of the Order was founded in 1218 for the liberation of Christian prisoners from the hands of the Moors.
