Franco Valle

Francesco Valle ( * February 15, 1940 in Genoa, † 10 April 2003) was an Italian middleweight boxer.

Career

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he won the bronze medal in the middleweight division. With point victories against Brazilian Luiz Cezar and the Chilean Guillermo Salinas, he penetrated into the semi-finals, failed there, however, the representatives of the all-German team, Emil Schulz.

Valles professional career was brief and unspectacular. It lasted only eleven months, and gave him a balanced combat balance: three victories in three defeats. Since he only fought against countrymen, he was not known in Boxkreisen much. Therefore, after three defeats in a row point he also finished consequently his career.
